The MH EDS O₂D₂-2G from Mountain High Aviation Oxygen Systems provides pilots and passengers in general aviation and gliders with a safe and comfortable way to fly at pressure altitudes up to 25,000 feet. It utilizes an innovative, digitally controlled oxygen delivery system based on the Pulse-Demand™ principle.
High Efficiency
In contrast to conventional constant-flow oxygen systems, the O₂D₂-2G's Pulse-Demand™ technology stands out for its remarkable efficiency: oxygen is supplied exclusively during inhalation. This means no oxygen is wasted during exhalation or during pauses in breathing. This digital Pulse-Demand™ system significantly reduces oxygen consumption, allowing users to enjoy two to three times longer operational duration compared to continuous-flow systems.
The system can be used by two individuals and offers an operating time of up to 100 hours on three AA alkaline batteries. A battery warning alerts the pilot in advance when approximately three hours of remaining power are left. For extended use or to preserve battery life, the O₂D₂-2G features an external power input. Audible alarms can be heard over the aircraft's Intercom System (ICS).
Effortless Operation for Two People
The O₂D₂-2G, designed for two users, is exceptionally user-friendly, minimizing the workload associated with the oxygen system. Thanks to its integrated barometer, there's no need to monitor oxygen flow indicators or manually adjust valves for changes in altitude, as would be required with constant-flow systems. A rotary switch allows for easy selection of various operating modes, which automatically deliver the necessary supplemental oxygen pulses for both pilot and passenger.
